Job Timer

Have you ever wondered how much time you actually spend making your game? I have created a tool for you to check exactly how long.

How to use it:

  1. Run Job Timer
  2. Set how many hours and minutes you want to work
  3. Set your deadline hour, for example 19.00 PM
  4. Click start.

The larger clock will count to 0 and show you how many hours you should work. The first of the smaller clocks will count down to your deadline hour. The second smaller clock will show you how much excess time you have left. For example, if your deadline is 19.00 PM and now it is 15.00 PM, and you have to work for 3 more hours, then you have 1 hour of excess time.

If you pass the deadline hour and you still have hours to work, you may have wasted your time on distractions and not been efficient.

If job timer counts to zero and deadline hour is still ahead of you, then you were very productive :) You have an additional few hours to do what you want.

NOTE always click START when you begin working and always click STOP when you do something else, e.g. making yourself a coffee, going to the toilet, tweeting, watching a movie, posting on facebook ...

NOTE I am aware that this is not the cleanest code that could be written, it could be improved in many places (e.g. timers start counting negative numbers when they reach 0:00:00). However, the current version is sufficient for the purpose it was created. I have tried not to spend too much of my precious work time on it ;P

This compiled version is for people that don't have time to waste on things like compiling. http://www.smallbigsquare.com/GMS_DEMOS/jobTimer_v1005.exe
