This fps engine showcases a level editor and smooth collision checking and response. You could use it to make an fps, or rpg, or anything! Special design techniques are used behind the scenes for maximum performance. Lightweight and completely written in gml, this can be used to make a game, or just learn from.

  • full 3d collision checking for player and cylinder zombies

  • mesh, heightmap and cylinder collisions without getting stuck or going through

  • level editor can generate terrain, color, smooth, flatten, raise/lower

  • level editor can place objects on terrain only or place on other objects

  • uses "trait" objects for easily adding resources to the editor and game, you don't have to know how every single thing works

  • lightweight gml coding, no dlls. should work on other platforms

  • commented code, but not a million unhelpul comments

  • utilizes vertex buffers and shaders
